Enter the Kelcey Tier Green Belt, just ten minutes from Devonport, and you are suddenly surrounded by green bushland a world away from the daily routine! The Belt or Reserve consists of 160 hectares of native bushland which abounds with numerous varieties of birds, native animals and wildflowers and is criss-crossed by some 30 trails to explore.

You will be treated to excellent views of Devonport and the Mersey River Estuary as you move through the different trails around the Reserve.

Suitable for adults and kids with an average level of fitness.  Comfortable shoes recommended as a minimum on the better developed and less steep trails. For some of the steeper trails walking boots are advisable.

Preeatenna is an indigenous term for  “Lizard”. The Preeatenna Sculpture and Peace pole provide  additional focus points for learning about the cultural heritage of the area. (Etomological referrence text search “The Aborigines of Tasmania“)
